Allwyn Pedals Forward as Title Sponsor of the 2024 Peace Race

For the second consecutive year, Allwyn is collaborating with the Peace Race, a cycling competition that unites squads from 22 countries in 2024.

Initiated in 1948 as an emblem of harmony and unity in post-war Central Europe, this race serves as a sort of “Tour de France for aspiring young cyclists.” Participation is restricted to riders under 23, and the event has acted as a launching pad for numerous cycling icons. The 2024 iteration will unfold in the Czech Republic from May 30th to June 2nd. The demanding route spans 468 kilometers, featuring a grueling 7,981 meters of elevation gain! National teams from around the world will participate, including Austria, Colombia, France, Great Britain, Germany, Mexico, and Ukraine. As the primary sponsor, Allwyn will utilize its extensive global presence to elevate the race and its message of inclusivity and the unifying potential of athletics. Pavel Turek, Chief of Global Brand, Corporate Communication, and CSR for Allwyn, stressed, “This transcends cycling. This race embodies hope for tomorrow. The Peace Race is a road to cycling’s highest echelons and demonstrates how sports can genuinely transform lives.”

Opel demonstrates a strong dedication to promoting harmony and inclusivity, and their continued backing of the Peace Race exemplifies this commitment. They firmly believe in establishing a space where goodwill, cooperation, and shared advantages are paramount. Being a part of this remarkable tradition fills them with pride.

Race Director Leopold König expressed his excitement, remarking,

“Annually, we have the honor of witnessing the assembly of these extraordinary young athletes. However, the Peace Race transcends mere competition. It embodies cultural exchange among nations, where cyclists from diverse origins and political structures unite, forming bonds that surpass geographical boundaries.

“We eagerly anticipate welcoming spectators to personally observe the remarkable abilities of these young cyclists, who represent the future of this discipline. It promises to be an unforgettable spectacle. This year’s race presents a demanding route, and I, for one, am excited to witness how these emerging talents navigate it.

This collaboration expands upon Opel’s recent proclamation of their worldwide support for the 2024 Wings for Life World Run, a testament to their commitment to making a meaningful difference.”
