ACMA Cracks Down on Illegal Gambling Websites in Australia

To protect Australians from the dangers of unlawful betting, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is taking action against websites that violate regulations. They’ve directed internet service providers to restrict access to numerous illicit sites – such as Jogi Casino and Dundee Slots – that were providing services like online casinos and slot games without authorization.

The ACMA is committed to this endeavor: since 2019, they’ve already blocked nearly a thousand unlawful wagering websites and pushed over 200 questionable operators out of the Australian market. They’re particularly worried about safeguarding individuals during major sporting competitions like the Women’s World Cup, when gambling can be a significant enticement. In essence, if you’re operating an illegal betting platform, the ACMA is on your trail.

This past March, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) issued notices to several online wagering entities found in violation of the 2001 Interactive Gambling Act. Included in the cohort of transgressors were prominent industry names like Lucky7even, 50 Crowns, and Zota Bet, alongside lesser-known entities such as Mad Entertainment (operating as 金狮娱乐), Paloma Media (conducting business as 雷霆万钧), and the Dama and Friolion groups, responsible for managing Betibet.
