Bayes Esports Secures €9 Million in Series A4 Funding to Revolutionize Esports Data and Entertainment

Bayes Esports, a top-tier supplier of authorized competitive gaming live information, obtained new capital in a Series A4 round. This recent infusion of funds elevates the Berlin-based firm’s overall investment for 2022 to a remarkable €9 million.

PAC Capital spearheaded the round, with their Chief Investment Officer, Clayton Larcombe, poised to assume the role of Board Chairman. He takes over from Jens Hilgers, a German esports pioneer and founder of BITKRAFT Ventures.

A well-known personality in the Australian esports realm, Larcombe brings extensive expertise to Bayes Esports. He is the Chairman and a key investor in Picklebet, a worldwide esports and sports wagering platform. Furthermore, he established PAC Capital, a global fund management company overseeing in excess of $500 million in assets. PAC Capital manages numerous funds with a sharp emphasis on investments in esports, gaming, and disruptive innovation. Their investment in Bayes Esports originates from PAC Private 1, their initial venture fund committed to identifying and backing the most revolutionary companies in esports, gaming, and technology.

Larcombe views esports as the next evolution of sports entertainment: “Esports is not simply a passing fad, it’s the future of how we consume and interact with competitive entertainment. The sector is undergoing explosive expansion, and the businesses operating within this domain need to be nimble, adaptable, and most importantly, innovative. That’s precisely what I observe in Bayes Esports. They are a genuinely groundbreaking company possessing the capability and potential to propel the industry to unprecedented levels.”

This investment is a key strategic move for the fund, highlighting PAC’s strong dedication to the competitive gaming industry. I’ve enjoyed collaborating closely with Jens and the entire BITKRAFT group, along with Martin and Amir from Bayes, and I’m incredibly optimistic about our future endeavors.”

This infusion of funds will empower Bayes Esports’ ambitious goals for content procurement and strategic alliances. They aim to strengthen their team by attracting top-tier professionals across various fields. Their recent significant two-year exclusive data collaboration with BLAST and the hiring of York Scheunemann as COO are clear signs of their commitment to these objectives. Anticipate additional major announcements in the upcoming weeks.

Amir Mirzaee, CBO & Managing Director of Bayes Esports, expressed his excitement: “Securing an investor as insightful and seasoned in esports as Mr. Larcombe is a privilege. We share a unified objective of driving the industry forward. This investment, particularly in an environment of heightened investor prudence, speaks volumes about our path. It confirms our vision of constructing an ecosystem around official data, a vision shared by industry leaders. We’re experiencing a remarkable start to 2023, and this is merely the commencement of a thrilling journey.”
