US-based sports wagering firm, Crab Sports, has teamed up with iGaming hosting provider, Internet Vikings, for a Maryland launch. The collaboration, initiated in July 2022, seeks to have their digital sports betting platform operational in Maryland before the year’s end. The agreement includes Internet Vikings delivering its cloud hosting solutions to Crab Sports. Internet Vikings CEO, Rickard Vikström, views this endeavor as a substantial prospect for both entities, noting that “Maryland is developing into a very captivating market…” He elaborates that the US is a hub of potential for iGaming and online sports wagering, with both industry titans and emerging contenders competing for dominance. Vikström stresses the significance of adaptability and preparedness in this dynamic landscape, underscoring Internet Vikings’ dedication to being poised to assist its clientele from the outset in each newly accessible state. Derek Baker, a Crab Sports founder, shared this perspective, stating that “As a new venture… agility and teamwork from our collaborators are critical.” In essence, this alliance signifies a calculated maneuver by both organizations to leverage the expanding US sports betting sector, particularly within Maryland.

From the moment we inked the contract, we’ve modified our hosting requirements, and the Internet Vikings crew has been exceptional in collaborating with us to realize this.”

Furthermore, Internet Vikings just declared expansions into the Empire State and the Magnolia State.

Concerning the arrangement, Vikström stated: “Establishing a presence in the Big Apple was crucial for Internet Vikings. However, it has surpassed my expectations.”
