XLMedia Appoints Caroline Ackroyd as Chief Financial Officer

Caroline Ackroyd has formally assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer at XLMedia, a prominent digital media organization.

This designation, initially revealed in November 2021, allows Ackroyd to contribute her vast financial knowledge to XLMedia. She takes over from Rowan Ellis, who has been acting as temporary CFO since Iain Balchin’s exit last July. Ellis will return to his prior position as a financial advisor and will aid in guaranteeing a seamless handover.

As CFO, Ackroyd also becomes a member of XLMedia’s board of directors, collaborating with CEO Stuart Simms and non-executive directors Julie Markey, Richard Rosenberg, Jonas Martensson, Ory Weihs, and Cédric Boireau.

Ackroyd’s professional journey showcases an impressive history in finance, including a recent period as CFO for Sheffield-based media firm Jaywing and a previous post as CFO for video consultation enterprise Push Doctor. Her tenure with Sky Betting & Gaming, where she held senior finance roles from 2006 to 2018, will be particularly beneficial in her new capacity at XLMedia.

Caroline possesses extensive experience within the gaming sector, having held the position of Finance Director at Gala Coral Group for more than two years.

“Caroline is a highly accomplished CFO, and I am thrilled to welcome her to the XLMedia executive team and Board,” commented Stuart Simms, CEO of XLMedia, upon her appointment in November.

“Her comprehensive understanding and expertise in our industry offer substantial value and perspective, especially considering our notable recent advancements within the American sports wagering market.”
