UK Gaming Industry Unites for Responsible Gaming Week

The British gaming sector is preparing for its inaugural Responsible Gaming Week, scheduled for October 12th through 18th. This extensive initiative, spearheaded by the Industry Group for Responsible Gaming, will witness involvement from virtually every facet of the sector – encompassing betting shops and bingo halls to digital platforms and casinos. It’s a substantial endeavor, encompassing over 10,000 gaming venues and in excess of 121,000 staff members.

The emphasis on responsible gaming has become a paramount concern for the industry. This week revolves around collaborative efforts to ensure patrons comprehend the inherent risks and are aware of the resources and assistance accessible to maintain gaming as a safe and pleasurable activity.

Sir Christopher Kelly, who heads the National Responsible Gambling Strategy Board, underscored the significance of directly hearing from individuals regarding their encounters. He embraced the week’s theme, “Let’s Discuss Responsible Gaming,” perceiving it as a crucial chance to acquire knowledge and enhance the safety of gaming for all.
