Meridianbet Joins UN Global Compact to Promote Responsible Business Practices

Meridianbet, a wagering firm, has become a member of the United Nations Global Compact, marking the most recent gambling enterprise to join the endeavor that centers on cultivating, executing, and divulging accountable business procedures.

Meridianbet, a business-to-business sports betting service provider situated in Malta and operating in more than 30 nations, has joined the UN Global Compact initiative with the objective of becoming a proponent for responsible business practices within the social gambling and gaming sector.

The UN Global Compact urges companies to harmonize their operations and strategies with 10 universally acknowledged principles related to human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption, and to take action to support the matters embodied in the UN objectives and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“We are thrilled to become a part of the UN Global Compact as it strengthens Meridianbet’s dedication to accountable business practices and sustainable expansion,” stated Zoran Milošević, Chief Executive Officer of Meridianbet. “This dedication is an essential stride in our ongoing journey to positively influence our industry and generate more value for our communities and the ecosystem.”

The United Nations Global Compact, launched in the year 2000, stands as the most extensive corporate sustainability initiative on the planet. It boasts a membership exceeding 15,000 businesses and 3,800 non-commercial organizations hailing from over 160 nations. Furthermore, there are more than 69 regional networks.

The European Gaming and Betting Association (ECA) is among the organizations that have endorsed the program. Betsson joined the initiative earlier this year.
