The Stars Group Rebrands, Relocates to Toronto

The Stars Group, formerly known as Amaya, has officially rebranded. This alteration was authorized by the company’s stakeholders.

The Stars Group disclosed its financial performance for the initial quarter of the year last month. The rebranding demanded approval from the stakeholders before it could be implemented.

The Stars Group has announced that the new moniker will take effect in August and will align with the company’s relocation to its new administrative center in Toronto, Canada.

At the company’s annual gathering, stakeholders also voted to continue operating under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario), making The Stars Group an Ontario corporation. This signifies that The Stars Group will now be governed by Ontario’s legal framework.

The stakeholders also endorsed the revised articles of incorporation for The Stars Group.

Several directors were re-elected to the board of The Stars Group. These directors include Divyesh Gadhia, Harlan Goodson, Alfred Hurley Jr., David Lazzarto, Peter Murphy, and Mary Turner. They will continue to serve as directors of the company.

Gadia will remain as the head of the Board, Lazarato will lead the Audit Committee, and Hurley will take the helm of the Corporate Governance, Nomination and Compensation Committee.

In related news, Amaya has reported its initial quarter expansion and unveiled plans for a name change.
