The state of Wyoming is contemplating a new regulation that would permit individuals to wager on athletic events via the internet and mobile devices. This proposed legislation, known as House Bill 0225, was presented by Representative Tom Walters and Senator Ogden Driskill. It would authorize individuals aged 18 and over to place bets on sports within the boundaries of Wyoming. The proposed law would also mandate that businesses seeking to provide sports betting services pay a licensing fee of $20,000. These licenses would have a one-year validity period and would require a renewal fee of $10,000.
