Codere Appoints New Director of Business Strategy and Business Ventures

Codere, a top gambling firm, has named Sonia Carabantos as their new Director of Business Strategy and Business Ventures. Carabantos will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Gonzalo Iglesias and will be in charge of supervising the execution of Codere’s key business strategic endeavors.

Carabantos is a highly skilled professional with a robust background in the gambling sector. She previously served as Executive Director of Corporate Services at CTTI, a Spanish government-owned enterprise. Prior to that, she spent nearly 15 years at Cirsa, a Spanish gambling operator, where she held various roles, including Director of Customer Intelligence, Efficiency, and Productivity.

Carabantos’ appointment is a significant step for Codere, as she will be instrumental in propelling growth and efficiency across all facets of the organization. Her leadership and expertise will be vital to the company’s ongoing prosperity.

Kordal has recently made a number of key leadership appointments, including the addition of Carla Bante to the team.

Earlier this month, Igor was named the head of Kordal, tasked with guiding the company’s expansion in its primary operational regions.

Igor came to Kordal after serving as the leader of the Health Transport Group and holding several high-ranking positions at Prosegur Cash, including Director for Europe and Director for South America.

Furthermore, Kordal this week named Luis Villalva as its Chief Financial Officer, taking over for Oscar Fernandez de Liano.

Villalva will lead Kordal’s financial strategy and assist the company in strengthening its relationships with investors.

Before joining Kordal, he served as the CFO and a member of the leadership team at Deoleo Group and spent over 17 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Kordal also welcomed Michal Elimelech to its board of directors in June.

These leadership changes follow Kordal’s online report of a decreased net loss and widespread growth in the first quarter.

For the three months ending March 31, Kordal achieved year-over-year growth in all its operational regions, with each regional operation experiencing a double-digit increase in revenue.

Overall revenue increased by 54%.

A significant leap of nine percent was observed in the past year.
