Brilliant Sports and Genius Sports Partner with Argentine Football Association

Brilliant Sports has become the official information and broadcasting partner of the Argentine Football Association (AFA).

Brilliant Sports will cover over 3,000 games and 13 competitions under the AFA, including national team matches and the top-tier Primera División.

Brilliant Sports has obtained exclusive rights to capture and disperse official AFA data and live video to the regulated wagering industry.

Brilliant Sports has also secured the rights to distribute official data for all AFA matches, enabling brands, publishers, and advertisers to utilize its collection of personalized advertising, content, and fan messaging solutions.

The Argentine Football Association stated the collaboration will be central to its strategy to enhance fan participation and elevate the prominence of Argentine football.

Brilliant Sports CEO Mark Locke remarked, “The Argentine Football Association is one of the most esteemed and prestigious organizations in global football.”

Genius Sports has been selected as a crucial collaborator for the Argentine Football Association (AFA), a significant honor. This partnership blends Genius Sports’ knowledge in real-time data, broadcasting, production, and media.

As part of the arrangement, Genius Sports will install GeniusLive+ cameras at more than 100 locations. These cameras will capture high-quality video for the AFA’s online streaming platform. Genius Sports will collaborate with Pixellot and La Corte to produce all the GeniusLive+ events, which will enable the AFA to live stream over 2,000 new matches from eight competitions each season.

Genius Sports will also provide a wagering monitoring system to assist in safeguarding the AFA from suspicious activity. This system will compare global betting patterns with predictive algorithms to automatically identify any potential issues.

Claudio Tapia, President of the AFA, stated: “As one of the leading football federations globally, the AFA is focused on maximizing the value of its digital assets through strategic partnerships. This will assist us in creating new revenue streams, expanding our reach in new markets, and growing our corporate partnerships.”

Genius Sports has also collaborated with other prominent sports organizations, including the Premier League, Colombian Dimayor, the German Football Association, and major leagues in the United States, such as the National Football League.
